  1. When I started, one built credibility by flying “up north” until they had enough time to get hired by an airline or corporate operator. Lots died. I lost many friends. One thing about bush flying, it was an excellent test of common sense.

  2. As a parent of a child that became a commercial pilot I find the cost of actually training ie getting hours is much higher than what you have listed
    Probably closer to 25 k or more
